Aimee Jeffers O. D.

Dr. Jeffers (formerly Dr. Gump) completed her undergraduate degree at Fairmont State College in  Fairmont, WV. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Dr. Jeffers received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2002 from The Ohio State University College of  

Optometry. She graduated magna cum laude and was a four year member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. During her time in  optometry school Dr. Jeffers was an E. F. Wildermuth Foundation Scholarship Recipient and a National Eye Institute Predoctoral Research Fellowship Recipient. She did research on eye safety and had an  abstract published for the Annual American Academy of Optometry Conference. In 2003, Dr. Jeffers completed a Residency in Ocular Disease through The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During this residency she received training with a pediatric ophthalmologist, corneal specialist, refractive surgeon, glaucoma specialist and neuro ophthalmologist. Dr. Jeffers worked in private practice in  Springfield, OH for over 17 years before joining Dr. Campbell’s office. She is currently a member of the  American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. Dr. Jeffers is a presenter for the Ohio Optometric Association’s Apollo Awarding Winning Program Realeyes. Through this program, she visits local schools and educates students on how the eyes work, the importance of protecting them and  some common visual issues that children face. 

When Dr. Jeffers is not at work, she loves spending time with her husband, two children and her dog. Dr. Jeffers and her family are actively involved in their church and its community outreach programs. She enjoys supporting her children from helping with schoolwork to cheering them on in cross country, soccer, baseball, basketball, etc. She also loves the hills of West Virginia and will forever be a  Mountaineer, but she is also extremely proud to be a Buckeye!!
